Not that men aren't extremely entitled as well, but from my observations once a man has given a woman that number 1 spot in his life [i.e. married her] he seems to be much more willing to keep her unconditionally. Wife may get fat, lazy, lose sex drive, etc, but the man generally doesn't get rid of her even if they know they can get better
