I got my decision letter today.
:gladbron:
40%. 30% for ptsd and 10% for tinnitus.
:aicmon:
PTSD has an effect on my work and relationships. Plus the nearly weekly panic attacks. I have to fight that. I got nothing for sleep apnea. I probably need a nexus letter to tie that as a secondary to ptsd. Got nothing for ED. The denials all stated nothing documented during service which is understandable for the problems not associated with PTSD.
:francis:
I honestly thought my bottom was 90%. 70% PTSD, 10% tinnitus, 50% sleep apnea. I don’t know what’s next. I half read the decision.
:to:
What do I do? This is a question out of ignorance. I know YouTube and chat gpt will guide me. I got the decision and went to sleep. I have to research the appeal process. I have to connect my migraines and sleep apnea to PTSD. Can I do that through appeals or have to do that as an increase?

Everybody’s story is different. Hearing and seeing all the stories that were favorable, I thought my story would be the same.

The fight begins.
:manny:
All about the secondary conditions

PTSD affects alot, get to linking it all back to that, even your denials

I entered a claim for an increase a coupla days ago. I'm expecting a call from a 3rd party nurse any day.

I have a template on what to say in regards to symptoms not improving and/or worsening (Nightmares, flashbacks, avoidance, etc)

I wasn't able to provide any documentation to the claim. However, i did see a VA shrink earlier in the year.

I met with a shrink in person this past Saturday morning. I just got the approval letter today, effective 1.1.26.

50% Rating :myman:. I was going for 40%.

I'm filing for

Tinnitus
Ptsd
Skin disorder
And then individual unemployabilty

I just got Social security disability as well.

Tinnitus is about guaranteed because I worked on the flight deck..and I believe that is 10% right there

I opened the application but will finish tommorow after I upload my documents.
I just put in a claim for this.

I'm also documented for hearing loss in my right ear via hearing exam from a coupla years ago.....so that should support my claim/case. I also worked on the flight deck.

'preciate the info. I never would have know had i not scanned through the earlier posts of this thread.

If you where deployed into a combat area such iraq and have a combat action ribbon.

You should be getting 100% off back for ptsd...

If you lost a team member during combat, while on that mission you should be getting paid 100%.

I have help 5 veterans get 100% by giving them this information.

If i help anybody else I am going to start charging..

Let the VA help you. Just repeat whatever your VA health provider says. That´s key going to the VA for appointments. It´s a one hand scratches the other you go to a VAMC they find shyt wrong with you they go to congress to increase funding and they write up more evidence to help your claim.

You don´t go in then obviously you´re not that disabled so less funding for them equals Less disability payments for you.

Yep seen the play several times I know a dude who was a boatswain´s mate on a boat off the coast of Lebanon who got PTSD because she said he saw dead marines from the 83 bombing come on to his boat. Again homie managed the deck and he asked a Marine was wasn´t bombed but on the ground in 83 for details

Both of them got 100% and I sold both of them some of my guns. Again they were in my PTSD group and the Marine told me about what the Sailor asked him.

If you deployed and especially if you were anywhere near dead bodies you should be in their like swimwear. At the end of the day if you deployed to a combat zone in any capacity you were braver than 99% of people who wouldn´t even join the Space Force reserves.

You didn't see my update.

I got approved for 50%. I was previously at 30%

Quick and easy. The doctor said upfront that he's not going to go over what's already documented, and asked a few questions regarding symptoms...and that was it. 15 minutes, tops.
