All about the secondary conditionsI got my decision letter today.
40%. 30% for ptsd and 10% for tinnitus.
PTSD has an effect on my work and relationships. Plus the nearly weekly panic attacks. I have to fight that. I got nothing for sleep apnea. I probably need a nexus letter to tie that as a secondary to ptsd. Got nothing for ED. The denials all stated nothing documented during service which is understandable for the problems not associated with PTSD.
I honestly thought my bottom was 90%. 70% PTSD, 10% tinnitus, 50% sleep apnea. I don’t know what’s next. I half read the decision.
What do I do? This is a question out of ignorance. I know YouTube and chat gpt will guide me. I got the decision and went to sleep. I have to research the appeal process. I have to connect my migraines and sleep apnea to PTSD. Can I do that through appeals or have to do that as an increase?
Everybody’s story is different. Hearing and seeing all the stories that were favorable, I thought my story would be the same.
The fight begins.

I met with a shrink in person this past Saturday morning. I just got the approval letter today, effective 1.1.26.I entered a claim for an increase a coupla days ago. I'm expecting a call from a 3rd party nurse any day.
I have a template on what to say in regards to symptoms not improving and/or worsening (Nightmares, flashbacks, avoidance, etc)
I wasn't able to provide any documentation to the claim. However, i did see a VA shrink earlier in the year.

Tinnitus is about guaranteed because I worked on the flight deck..and I believe that is 10% right there
I opened the application but will finish tommorow after I upload my documents.

If you where deployed into a combat area such iraq and have a combat action ribbon.
You should be getting 100% off back for ptsd...
If you lost a team member during combat, while on that mission you should be getting paid 100%.

You don´t go in then obviously you´re not that disabled so less funding for them equals Less disability payments for you.
