The worst?

Hmmm. That's hard to say.

Rakim was wildly disappointing, he showed up like 1.5 hours late and is just too chill of a cat at his age. You can tell he just wasn't hungry like he was when he was young and trying to prove himself.

I also forgot to mention that Pete Rock & CL Smooth put on one of the best shows I've ever seen too. CL Smooth is a fukking HELL of a live performer.

Asap rocky in London was the worst.

Jay z each time has been amazing and Nas (live orchestra) was dope.

Outside of Hip hop....D'angelo live was amazing, Justin Timberlake Future sex love sounds era I saw him perform before the album dropped and he performed songs from the album and hearing LoveStoned early was incredible.

Pharrell and NERD shows were also amazing.

The best was Kendrick Lamar and Nas at One Music Fest 2014.

Kendrick absolutely killed his set. Dude was a generational performer even back then.

Nas headlined so he closed the show. He did all of Illmatic plus his hits up to that point. Closed with Stay from Life is Good.


Worst was Mary J Blige earlier this year. Mario and Ne-yo performed before her and honestly Ne-Yo should’ve been the headliner. He performed the hell outta his set, a true professional.

Mary might’ve been sick or something but she had the crowd singing half of her songs for her. She had the crowd sing almost the ENTIRETY of Family Matters. Like bytch are you performing for us or are WE performing for YOU!?!?

Saw Kendrick this year, probably the single most impressive performance I've ever seen.

Worst got to be Kanye...just ranting for 45 minutes.

It was like watching Sam Cooke Marvin Gaye and Prince in one.

He was playing every instrument. Dancing. Had the crowd going crazy.

I'm about 22 at the time. He got on the piano and hit the first note to How Does it Feel. Every women got an orgasm at the same time. Grown woman was throwing panties on stage.

It was like a religious experience. Best live show I've ever seen

I’m weird but best shows I’ve been to was either Ahmad Jamal or Herbie Hancock. Just masters of their craft.

Nas and Damian Marley put on a great show during the Distant Relative period

I’ve never heard anyone say they have been to a wack Roots show.

The Badu show she just did at Bomb Factory wasn’t for me. It was like a half assed Sun Ra impression

Best performance I seen was last year of September when I went to go see Common and Pete Rock perform at Buckhead theater in Atlanta.

The show had a very good interactive theme to it Common had elite breath control when he was performing.

Can't really think of the worst performance I ever seen I haven't been to a bad concert just yet.

Best was Kanye in 07 after graduation running to the left and right yelling his raps shyt was electric
Next best was Jayz in 2013 Magna Carta tour we were in the floor seats in the back he said fukk security come on up I’ll eat the fine performed nikkas in Paris shyt was magical
Saw wiz too wit a cabin fever tour in 2011 big Sean was the opener shyt was pretty good
Saw wiz Khalifa again after his sophomore album onifc in 2013 had a rock band shyt was fire

Weeknd was the worst. He was super late and sounded like shyt..only show I ever walked out to. This is when he was still underground and only had probably the first two or three tapes out. Musiq is probably next. Performing auto tune shyt no one wanted to hear and cutting the classics short.

Best has probably been Beyoncé, Jay and Kendrick.

First show was TI with Jeezy when they had Paper Trail and Recession. Jeezy completely stole the show as the opener because he had that hood shyt Memphis loves. TI was trying to mix in his girl and crossover tracks like why u wanna but they wasn’t feeling it.
