In the place I used to live, brehs there needed a degree to
get a decent job. I know not all places are like that, but some are

Getting a degree really comes down to what you want to do career wise. Some jobs won't even look at your CV without one.
What doing my degree did allow was networking and getting multiple valuable work experience assignments at different companies.
That's one thing 'learning on the internet' can't get you unfortunately.

Nope. I'm pursuing an HVAC cert or CIS cert in January tho.

Yeah, i did work study on campus during my first semester for extra $ (couldn't have done that without being enrolled in school), and then later on, one of my teachers helped me get an internship, and later on a job working in a law firm. It's good for connections/networking. I got a mouthpiece but i know i wouldn't have gotten that internship or job without those connections.
