My culture is a bit different, we carry the name of our grandfather as our last name and it changes every generation. My kid last name will be my dads name and so on
Same, its funny how much of us come out here and start modelling our names after Western surnames. Couldn't be me, I've always been apart of something greater Alhamdulilah. :blessed:

My brother has my dad's first name. We both have his last name, which a slave master's name that we traced back to the early 1800s.

I found our paternal ethnic group in Burkina Faso. When I visit there I am going to seek out a new last name from the group.
Not that I keep up with what's going on over there. But I saw a headline about extremists killing a bunch of people today. Be safe out there breh.

I am not likely to go until next year. I want this COVID business to die down before I go anywhere.

There seems to be a lot of unrest going on right now in the Northern territories of Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger and Nigeria.

Put the poll up breh.

But I have mine. I was raised by both my parents, who have been married 37 years I think.

I do, but me and my wife have been discussing switching over to my mom's last name since she's the one that raised me and I'm barely in touch with my dad's side of the family unless someone passes away.
