I've been to the Bahamas but I was 15 then (turning 30 next year). I'm going to Barbados in February and trying to hit Jamaica before the end of '16.

It's so beautiful :mjcry: rivers and steamy jungles everywhere. Beaches. The second or biggest volcanic lake in this hemisphere

I'm half Caribbean. My dad's from Suriname, a Caribbean country on the South American mainland.

The islands, I've only been to Curacao and Bonaire.

I'm half Bajan and have been to Barbados several times. I've only had two negative experiences. One was having locals trying to con me out of money out of the belief that I was a "stupid" foreigner/American. The other was people insisting that I was not Bajan when yes the fukk I am. I fell out of a Bajan pum pum. I may have been born in America but I am NOT black American. I'm Afro caribbean period.

Overall, it's a beautiful island but you have to know how to navigate yourself so as not to be taken advantage of. The people are generally friendly. Oh, definitely try the food. The macaroni pie and flying fish is amazing. Breadfruit is delicious as well. I know this forum is mostly men so I will also mention that there were many attractive young women down there as well.
