lol you're forgetting all the garbage in the processed "food" that's allowed in the States but banned almost every where else.Yet the countries where rice is a major part of the diet weight significantly less than their western counterparts
Also our portions here are bigger too.
Rice all the time is still not good for you. That starch gets converted to glucose which can lead to diabetes. My mom was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes last year and she eats rice literally every day. Aside from the occasional drink of juice every so often she does not eat candy, chips etc. But she ate rice EVERY DAY for decades.
