Adrian Dantley.
Definitely. Many of his contemporaries too. Alex English and Mark Aguirre were next level talents, for example. The real issue is time moves faster and faster as the world gets smaller and our attention spans are under relentless attack from people who want to separate us from the little money we make our own. Everyone thinks the books/movies/players/celebrities/events they live through should chart higher because they feel more important.
Elgin Baylor.
Sleepy Floyd was one of the most randomly good but every once in a while all time great players in history.
The other day I remembered that one season Glen Rice had where he was unguardable. Spent some time researching the games he played that year... Dude shot 47% from 3 on nearly 6 attempts a game. And he wasn't shooting spot ups. I got to looking at Ray Allen's playoff run where he shot 48% from 3 over 18 games too, and realized how goofy I was in declaring Steph Curry the best shooter I've ever seen. Maybe I'm just more aware now than I was then, and the footage is more accessible.
Moses Malone's name doesn't come up enough. He damn near averaged 25 and 20 for a full season and has 3 MVPs.
David Thompson. A legend who inspired MJ.
Prime Sidney Moncrief was cold. Jack Sikma mastered the high post.
Elvin Hayes.

I always bring up Connie Hawkins, just because he was SO slick with the ball, waving it around like a tennis ball. And the footage doesn't even do his prime justice, because he was blackballed from the league when he was at his best. Steps into the league and does 24/10/5
I own a Connie Hawkins autograph. One of three pieces of sports memorabilia I own, with the others being a Don Mattingly autographed baseball and a Pele autographed soccer ball personally signed to me.

Those are three great pieces. I met Pele a bunch of times (had his son at my camp) and could never sack up to ask him.
I have like three or four pieces of memorabilia that I care for: I have a pair of Duncan's sneakers signed, which is pretty cool, and Walt Frazier cap... and Jerry West signed a yankee cap of mine after watching me Win a shootout at the Garden during halftime of the big east championship. He stopped me as I was walking back up to my seats and said "Hey, son... was that you shooting out there just now?" " *looking stunned as fukk* "Uhh... yes, sir.." "Nice stroke."![]()

. When we took down the win, I had ACC in big black magic marker on the tee I was wearing under the sponsorship that they made me wear. I ripped off the sponsor shirt like Hogan, and ran to the opposite corner of the court, where the BC fans were sitting. We started and ACC chant as people threw beer and popcorn at us... it was glorious. The fine people from sprint were not as pleased, and took my graffiti'd tee, and made me put back on the sponsorship pic for the "Giant Check" photo.
How old are you brehs??
