Def Cena imo, it's rare when wrestling has that "big fight" feel to it and MITB had it and then some. Without Cena CM Gawd would still be in upper mid card purgatory like Orton.

I remember Punk saying that he is the Batman to Cena's :cape: , that's pretty damn accurate imo. Where Cena is bigger, stronger more athletic but CM Gawd still has ways to beat him. The streets need that Cena/Punk two man power trip :noah:

Off topic, but I always expected Punk/Jericho to have better matches with each other considering how great both are in the ring. Kinda like Bret/Flair, even though their matches weren't terrible they weren't great, you'd think that they would have a classic together considering both their abilities

It's still Raven, it was small time compared to Cena and Hardy which is probably why there's no votes. But I thought them dudes legit hated each other :whew:

Surprised Samoa Joe isn't getting more love. Their ROH trilogy from 2004 still holds up to this day, can't believe that was almost 10 years ago.

That's small time shyt.

He has eclipsed that stuff because the stage was so much bigger.

The MITB title win made him a household name, the Joe series simply got him noticed.

I disagree. while he clearly moved on to bigger and greater things, those matches are essential must watch material for any major cm punk fan. Some of his best work.

Match wise: Samoa Joe and Cena
Story wise: Jeff Hardy and Raven. Jeff's real life "smoke crack" lifestyle clashing with Punk's straight edge lifestyle made their feud very convincing.

Honorable mentions to D-bry and Chris Hero... dem matches were all :ohlawd:

Jeff Hardy put him in the main event spot when he started to count...he whined about the WM 28 and made jokes about the McMahons and fans fell for that schtick. He has decent matches with Cena but they'll definitely not hold up over time. No one really talks about MITB and it's only 2013.

John Cena has never had anything close to a classic..you mention him having a classic and the fans will boo that out..in Boston, no less:laugh: Closest thing he had to something unforgettable was the match with RVD at One Night Stand.

I`ve seen all of them.

They're his best indy work for sure. But it means so much more when done on the stage of a WWE PPV.
