The Falcons were losing that game and eked out a 1 point win against a Packers offense that was missing their #1 WR and their #1 RB. Hardly impressive.
Here's the truth about what's going on here. And I'll summarize for the goons who certainly haven't read the post history:
You somehow think taking Bijan Robinson 8th overall was a smart draft decision. It wasn't. No matter how talented Bijan is.
I stated before the season that I projected Bijan to be a great fantasy football player. But that it likely wouldn't move the needle much for the Falcons as a team.
So now, the Falcons got an unimpressive 24-10 victory against the Carolina Panthers in Week 1 that was tied at 10 measly points going into the 4th quarter.
They eked out a 1 point win against the Green Bay Packers in Week 2.
They face the Lions and Jaguars in Weeks 3 and 4.
Then face the Texans, Commanders, Buccaneers.
So in their 1st SEVEN games of the 2023 season, the Atlanta Falcons will face effectively FOUR rookie QBs, and Baker Mayfield.
And the rest of the schedule doesn't get much more difficult than that -- with literally only Minnesota looking remotely like a playoff contending team. They have, I think without question, the single easiest schedule in football this season.
And while their defense is the true catalyst for their success, the fact remains this offense looks....and should continue to look...largely pathetic -- as Desmond Ridder does his best to play a discount version of 2000 Trent Dilfer.
So sure, the Falcons have a gifted running back that is offering almost nothing on the whole better than what they got out of Patterson and Allgeier last season. And they still have a glaring hole at the most important position on the offense. And probably at head coach, while I'm at it.
Cheers breh.
