It's boring and predictable? Ambrose winning it would be dope, he's over as fukk and something like a rumble win puts him over the edge. Same with KO on the heel side of things. Reigns/Cena/Brock have nothing to gain

Yeah but it's not just about winning the Rumble... it's also about the Mania main event. Owens is not ready to main event a WrestleMania. I'd rather see him headline Mania as the clear-cut top heel in the company than as someone they're just doing it with to be different. It doesn't have to happen RIGHT NOW.

The past five have been mad predictable so it's hard to not see them continuing the same pattern this year. It will be Cena or Brock and there's nothing we can do about it. :sadcam: The last surprising one was Chris Benoit. I wasn't even watching then but when I heard he won I was like :gladbron:. Looking at the past winners overall its like they only gave it to people who were already stars, the problem is that they don't have any stars now except for the ones people will complain about winning (Cena/Brock). I don't even consider Roman a star.

This is a business their trying to make money by having the biggest matches possible. Ambrose or Owens in the main event doesn't make WWE money. They already have all the IWC money because of the WWE network. All that matters at this point is getting the casual fans the last thing they should be doing is catering to TSC.

Come on breh, Benoit winning was a surprise? The entire build up to the Rumble was all about Benoit winning, including him entering at #1. That was arguably the most predictable Rumble ever. Del Rio winning was predictable?

That's why I said I wasn't watching so hearing he won was a surprise to me. Hearing that Batista, Taker or Cena won was what I would consider predictable but I understand it would be different if you watched the build up.

Still asking why wouldn't Brock win? :patrice: On the one hand, everyone wants an unproven commodity to get a shot at the Showcase of the Immortals. Then, on the other, people claim that WWE really needs Jerruh World to be sold out. Reigns is really not over, but WWE wants him to finally be put over. The ONLY 2 people that could pull that off is Cena or Brock, especially if Cena pulls a surprise :comeon: heel turn before (never gonna happen).

That leaves only Brock working as the mercenary for the Authority after much StephnHaitch fukkery.

Who thinks Roman/Ambrose will sell out Jerruh? Roman/Owens? Next WM will be the time to build new stars. But, for now, it's time to utilize the best you have, and use the lesser titles to try to calibrate your storytelling and feud building/matching/rotation. Jmo.

Yeah they really started pushing Benoit hard in 2003 and then in 2004 he was one of the most pushed guys all year until he lost the belt to Orton.

Their building new stars now with Rollins at WM31 and Reigns at WM32. Today's fans have no patience, they want their favorite NXT guy to come up and dominate WWE immediately. Wrestlemania 32 should definitely be about finally making Roman Reigns a true star that can help carry WWE on his back when Cena retires.

WWE still has to market Wrestlemania 32 so they can make the most money possible. You think Reigns vs Owens would sell any casual fans? Casual fans don't know who Owens is and his look will turn people off. Reigns vs Cena or Reigns vs Lesnar II looks good on posters and sells PPVs. Even Reigns vs Triple H does that a lot better than any match the IWC wants to see. Wrestlemania isn't about you if you have the WWE network, its about everyone else.

Meh I'm one of those who feels like Wrestlemania sells itself. You have thousands of people who purchase tickets/travel packages way before any match is even announced. At this point, you know that Brock or Cena will be on the card, so there's no match up that doesn't include Rock or Austin that will sell it more than it is already sold. Who Brock or Cena fights won't dictate people attending the show. If PPV still mattered to them maybe, but now they have the network.

PPV does still matter when it comes to Wrestlemania. Wrestlemania 32 could be the best selling show in history, their not going to settle for less money because they have the network. Casual fans aren't going to get the WWE network, they'll pay full price for the PPV and then forget about WWE for a year.

Cena winning the rumble, doing the "respect" buildup, and denying he supports the authority while they publicly back him, then he turns heel at Mania to win. Then Reigns vs the Authority (with Cena) .

This would actually get Reigns over. Smarks have hated Roman for like a year and a half, they've hated Cena for 10. Unless they make Cena a very cool heel every arena would be behind Reigns.

More likely it'll be Brock vs Reigns or Cena vs Reigns with Cena putting him over and handshakes, "this is the guy now", etc. If they do either of those it'll be the most underwhelming Mania since 27 if they don't have another big match to sell WM.

Nah I don't see it. This year's Mania did 259k which was down from like 600k last year. The two Mania's before the network did a milli..they will NEVER sniff a million now that the network is out. They could do Austin vs. Rock 4 and still won't get close to that.
