I got to watch AI from college until the day he retired. Never saw an athlete with more heart than him. That being said he was never able to turn the tide of a game with his jumper the way Curry does

iverson as he can do it in a more difficult league defense-wise. curry needs EVERYTHING to be going his way to be effective. even then, he isn't carrying some team all the way to the finals just off him putting up 40 and 50 points a night.

Put Curry on that 2001 Team, in that era, going up against bigs like Shaq, Mutumbo, Alonzo, Rasheed, KG, Duncan,etc and he'd be injured non-stop.

Kerr's system essentially utilizes Curry's ability/skillset to bring out the best in its surrounding players, and yes, there were folks who considered Steph to be what he is today, before Kerr arrived.

Iverson would be shootong at a higher percentage in this era. Curry is only great because of his teammates and if you swap him and AI on Philly back then they would be lucky to make the playoffs
