I can't hear any of them in his raps. Because he is so versatile you might get a flow here and there that sounds like a rapper from the past but he's his own man. If anything there'd be a time where Blu would be on this list.

If I was ever compared to Jay-Z I'd be offended.

Lupe himself said he would literally just reword Jay-Z verses up to a certain point. Just stencil new words over his flows and patterns to call them his own.

Truth is he's a hybrid of Jay and Nas, but Jay's style is the foundation. Conceptually clearly inspired by Nas.

Jay Z for sure if Lupe if FNF never folded and Lupe stuck to his og style he could’ve really been looked at as Chicago’s Jay Z fr

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I don’t see no Nas at all.
Of course not. It’s u. Lol. But this is something he’s said out of his own mouth. And it’s clearly evident especially earlier on in his career. His name even came from a Nas song. He was highly influenced by IWW. Either way Lupe is literally a mixture of Jay Z and Nas. Jay’s style with Nas’ creativity.

He can be inspired by Nas. Never said he wasn’t. I don’t hear Nas music in Lupe music at all
