yep..even though Wiggins for Love is lookin :scust:

Mozgov/JR transformed that squad over night.

trading for mozgov shumpert and smith clinched it

You don't win Executive of the year for that 1 middling trade. Lebron coming back from break and playing at a MVP level is what turned this team around
fukk that Coach Bud has been the acting GM since last summer. Give Bud COY and GM of the year

He has no business winning COY

Kerr is COY and its not even close. Even more than that its an insult to even think about voting for someone else.

It's close. Coach Bud has the Hawks only a few wins behind the Warriors with no notable star on the team. The fact that everyone is talking about: Curry, Harden, Westbrook, Bron, Davis, Paul and LMA ahead of every single player on the Hawks is credit to how well he's guided a team full of good-to-great players and role players to the second-best record in the league.

Ferry Deserves Executive of the year
How does this make any sense when -
The Hawks have practically the same core that they did last year though. Horford, Millsap, Teague, Korver, Carroll, Schroeder, Scott. They usually give the award to whichever GM made the best additions in the prior offseason

Anyway to answer the question, the Cavs GM will win.

David Griffin will be the Executive of the Year - the Cavs only have four remaining players (three healthy) from their squad last season. 80% of their starting five is different.

Like I said your post is :troll: status.

The Hawks have the best record in conference that has 5 winning teams. thats right 5. You also have to account for the fact the 2 best teams from last year are depleted. The Hawks are middle of the pack offensively and defensively

The Warriors have the #1 Offense and #1 Defense in the best conference and could potentially win 69 games!!!

Not to mention they have a point differential of over 10 points.

You don't have to tell me - I know all that. :heh:

The point is, Coach Bud has every business winning COY, and it's certainly not 'an insult to even think about voting for him' - that is stupid talk. Kerr is my pick, but I have no problems whatsoever with anybody that would vote for Budenholzer - it'd be thoroughly deserved. He's done wonders with this Hawks team. They don't have a 20+ ppg scorer, they don't have a star; the team is full of second/third option players and misfits and he's got them closing on 60 wins. Name me one team in modern history that had a record around 60 wins without a 20+ ppg scorer?

And you didn't answer the last part of my post - why should Ferry be Executive of the Year (he's had the same core from last season) over Griffin (80% of the starting 5 is different and only four players remain on the roster from last season)?

2013-14 Spurs
2010-11 Spurs
2007-08 Celtics

And Ferry won because usually teams with a lot of cap space overpay the wrong guy because they have no clue on what they want to do. The Hawks didn't get aggressive and it paid off.

All of those teams had at least one star and 1st option players. This Hawks team doesn't have any of those.

It doesn't work like that and you know it.
Why can't he get credit for not being an impulsive dumbass and overpaying Lance, trading for Austing Rivers, trading for Waiters, etc.

Because he only added Bazemore and Sefolosha this season, whereas Griffin added Bron, Love, JR, Mozgov and Shumpert. That's why.
