Interesting.
Mia X is nice, but she was spitting in a crew of no rapping dudes. Digga came up with the Outsidaz and was on songs with Busta, and held her own.

MC Lyte, Bahamadia, Digga, and Jean Grae in terms of bars
Lyte had ghostwriters. So did Queen Latifah and Shante.

Bahamadia
Lauryn
Rah Digga
Invincible(If you don't know her, google)
Georgia Anne Muldrow
Rapsody
Jean Grae

Chose from those 4

Lauryn was sued by ghostwriters and ghost producers for their work on Miseducation.

If you disqualify Lyte, have to do the same for Lauryn. Also, outside of LL helping her for the Self Destruction verse, never heard of people writing for Lyte.

From the list you put up, I'd go with the three I already chose, and add Nicki D.....or the chick that bodied Bahamadia on "3 the hard way"

As far as Digga, I remember somebody saying that Young Zee was writing for her. And then I started hearing that the flow and cadences were the exact same. So now I just hear Young Zee when I hear Digga rap, lol.

sued for production not for lyrics.

They sued for writing and production credits.

In the suit, they said they worked on 13 out of the 14 cuts and were supposed to get partial writing credit on 13 of the songs, with the percentages, but never got them. They said Lauryn told them it would happen, and that they had a "verbal deal" with her, but she never came through. They ended up settling for like $5 million, I think.

Interesting. Only thing I'll say for that is Young Zee was extremely multi-syllabic pattern heavy. And while Digga uses them, she didn't use them nearly as heavily as Zee does/did. Almost every Zee rhyme was multis, and Digga was in and out with those.

Mia X is definitely nicer and more well rounded than Rah Digga and a lot of these hoes. You gotta remember you basically had to make something for everybody on the tank. The momma song, soldier song, club song, strip club song, real life song, etc.

She’s probably the only female that wrote her own lyrics.

The first night I heard this joint, was on WNYU underground radio. This is like '97-'98.

And after they played it, dude was like, "That's an exclusive. Shoutout to Young Zee!" That's when they said he wrote Digga's sh*t. And if you listen, that's all Zee right there, lol. Sounds just like dude. So ever since then, I just hear him when I hear Digga.
