That caught me off guard. U a stone?
Nah, but it's bloods and travelers in my family though
I grew up hearing the history of different Chicago gangs moving down south from them. Mostly GD's but still some of everything depending on where you at
The El rukns were always the most interesting to me cause of the Libya connection.
Now that I'm older and identify with black leftism, I see fort as the prototype for radicalizing the lumpen proletariat. If only he and Fred hampton could've united the stones and panthers. I think things would've turned out way different. Panthers had the social consciousness and community programs and the El rukns had the muscle and gall to go to war with the government. But I guess both sides saw the other as not radical enough cause of the difference in ideals. Stones looked mostly like thugs that occasionally said conscious shyt to the panthers. And the panthers looked like wannabe revolutionaries that talked the talk but wouldn't commit to that level of violence to accomplish their goals. Shame cause they were two sides of the same coin then, and even now we need both types to learn from each other
Chicago history is interesting to learn about though cause of how connected everything is. shyt will have you like
Like how timuel black was a mentor figure to both Fort and Obama. Black tried to get Fort to link with the panthers but they couldn't stop beefing
