NBA comparison says OJ Mayo on NBADraft.net

But it's looking like the Bulls will be able to draft a good 2 guard this year if they can get a pick in the early teens.

Mayo has 10x's the handle and is a better athlete. Harris is thicker (n/h) and maybe an inch taller. Better shooter too.

...that hate from a walvie. He's a solid 6'4 measured at a camp prior to his frosh year with shoes off, a tad small for an NBA SG. I think he's missed 2 games his entire tenure at Michigan State so surely not 'always injured.' Athletically, he's good, he's not a freak, but he can leap, board and dunk, but I have seen him miss dunks on 3 point play attempts. Great defender, he's had multiple games with 5 or more steals.

My knock on Harris is his handle. Sometimes he settles for 3's, avoiding the need to put the ball on the floor and drive. His handle gets sloppy on the break too. If he plays like he played last night he's one of the better 2-Guards out there if not the best.

We have three SG on our roster who will all end up better than Harris in the NBA

So, in 5 years from now we can go back and see who's right? Not sure Stauskas can guard anyone at the college level, let alone in the League. Never heard of the other 2 guys until just now.

So he's getting selected before Smart in your opinion? That's the only dude I can see getting bumped from top 5 consideration. Wiggins, Embiid, Parker and Randle are locks to go in the top 5
I'm not a huge believer in Randle. I understand why he'll go high, but I also know Randle's just the latest talent in a deep ass pool of bigs, bigs that will make you forget about Randle as soon as 2015, let alone the preexisting bigs that put in work at the 4. I don't see what I get in Randle that I couldn't get out of the next potential big. After a while, they tend to give you the same results unless they're of the Duncan /KG /Dirk mold.

Harris to me is that guy who everyone will fall in love with during workouts and during the tourney. shyt, people went apeshyt over Bradley Beal and the truth is he didn't have a great year at Florida. He just a pretty shot so scouts thought they could mold him. Harris will have more momentum that that given his role on Michigan State.

I see Harris like this: doesn't have the upside of Young, Selden, Exum, Smart (if you wanna call them SG's), but I think he's guaranteed not to suck, whereas the others have a chance of flaming out. Harris is safe.

I checked out that scouting vid on him (Harris) and he def looks like a Bulls/Thibs kind of player. But from the weaknesses they have listed, he seems to have low upside (average athlete and average shot creator)...

All I know is, the teams with multiple 1sts in this year's draft are going to eat real well

Gary Harris would flourish on the Bulls next to Rose. Good defender, reliable shooter, makes good decisions with high BBIQ....he is solid. Not out of this world witht he scoring but not a slouch.

He is like a slightly shorter Afflalo

I don't watch college ball where do y'all see this harris kid drafted at? Cuz the bulls gm been scouting him for the last year and I wanna know do they have a legit chance of getting him

top 10 or top 15, depending on the order.

all those combo guards are gonna go ahead of him. hes in the 2nd tier with the guys teetering the guard/forward lines(james young, wayne selden).

yea, its a good chance that he lands in chicago.....or charlotte. either way, it would be a good look for him playing off of somebody like rose or walker.

Doug McDermott aka Kyle Korver 2.5

nah. mcdermott can bang down low. hes likely to play some four in the league too.

didnt korver go to creighton tho?
