Ross, and I don’t think this is even close.

The Documentary was a 50 and Dre-helmed project that they could've given to anyone, and it would've been dope. Game ain't been sh*t since. Ross has been consistently dope for over 15+ years. And still has one of the best ears for production in the business.

Pretty much everything in this post is nowhere near true lol

Games next album he did without them and is regarded by a lot of people as just as good if not better than the doc

Writing off an album just because dre and 50 helmed it is also dumb logic and completely irrelevant, especially when we’re comparing to Rick Ross who has been carried by fire production his whole career, with that logic let’s go ahead and write of Deeper Than Rap, that album was helmed by Justice League & The Inkredibles, anybody would of sounded dope on that album.

Ross has some great albums, but consistent for 15 years? Ross has some extremely forgettable albums (Hood Billionaire, POM2, Trilla, RTIEB)

So my opinion on who's a better artist isn't "true"?

You really typed that and felt good about it. Come on, bro. Do better.

Huge difference. Dr. Dre was an already legendary producer as was most of the production lineup for The Documentary. The producers for Ross were relatively unknown before Ross. The production Ross did get from legendary producers aren't even his best work. Can't really say Ross was carried by production in the way Game was. Ross cultivated a sound with the production he had. Game could've been any MC over the production he had because he never really had his own sound. You hear certain beats from Justice League, The Inkredibles, or The Runners and you think Ross even when it its not a Ross song.

This here. All facts.

50 wrote all of Game's biggest records on The Documentary, except for the verses. All of those hooks are his, that he said he should've kept for himself. The beats were tracks that Dre gave 50, so he could make references for Game to work around. They gave dude a blueprint and told him to just fill in the blanks. He had it easy. Ross has a career of using lesser known producers and making careers for them. He literally created his own sound and did it with mad different producers who make tracks that fit into the vibe he created on his own.

The thing about Ross is since day one, he's never sounded like anyone else. He's always created lanes that only he's f*cked with. The whole way he approaches records is something that's been unique to him. And he's been doing it since he first dropped. Very few MC's can say that.

it says better overall artist in the title, Ross runs away with that quite easy, rapping is what game does on his albums I’ll give you that.
The distinction between rapping and being an artist is most of the time empty.

Rapping is also what Ross does. It's not like he's the one making the beat.

At the end of the day, rappers are artists because they rap. And this is how we should judge their artistry.

When I think about, Game's Documentary quite possibly had the best production lineups in Hip Hop history. He had GOATs lacing nearly every song on the album from Dre to Kanye to Just to Timbo to Havoc to Hi-Tek. I mean, how many people can say they had a Havoc track that had additional production from Dre or multiple songs where it was Dre and Storch. All Game had to do was show up.
