Him and Idris got next/now but does their resume really matchup with the aforementioned names and does their longevity already warrant the GOAT Black actor title?

Stewart

He was in Amistad & 12 Years of Slave

Does some of these other obscure names matchup to his resume?:usure:

Taking out Denzel, Sam, etc common choices

I'm going a different route and going to say Eddie Murphy. He gets slept on as an actor because most of his work is in comedies but he can disappear into a role. Given the right makeup he can play a character, that you would never know was him, that feels like a real person. He has shown depth in some of his past roles but he never gets brought up in these discussions.

I've seen this man in a billion movies and DO NOT know his name

But I give it to Denzel; His passion and conviction is astonishing.

Samuel is the hardest working ACTOR period, but I can't give him the title of the best

Viola Davis is up there with Meryl Streep in regards to range.

She can act circles around Denzel, truth be told.

Given some more time, I think Viola will be the greatest.

I personally really like Forest Whitaker. Ive always enjoyed seeing him in movies. Denzel, Morgan Freeman, and Samuel Jackson are unquestionable. Avery Brooks too.

Thinking about Samuel L. Jackson reminds me of Eve's Bayou. That whole cast is black excellence in acting to me. Angela Bassett is unquestionable to me as well.

I think many are talented. For me what makes you great is I no longer see the person but they are so believable in the role that you are assuming they are playing themselves.

Eg. The guy who played Shaka Zulu
