What I don't get is Duncan makes millions every year he could afford solid gold Versace shades, or even personalized designer brand shades.

None of this makes any sense. How can an elite player not be a star?
For me (emphasis on "for me", it's a subjective opinion) a "star" enjoys/seeks the media/attention. But that's how I see it. That's why I would have a hard time saying John Stockton, David Robinson or Tim Duncan are "stars", I'd rather just qualify them as "elite players".
That's why it's strange for me to say that Tim Duncan is a "swaggerless" star when obviously he doesn't give a fukk (unlike Durant for example). He's just not in that game at all, that's like saying my dentist is swaggerless. No shyt lol

Kobe's fukking rap song alone puts him in the top 5 lamest of all time. Then you factor in Kate Faber, snitching to police, routinely getting punked by bums like Chris Childs and Raja Bell, choking up 3-1, his entire steeze being another man's, wifing a ran-through video ho that gave him two TJ Kidd-looking daughters and no sons, spenting 4 mil on a ring and crying on tv so that same video ho dont leave him when you know shes just waiting it out to take half under California law...we could go on and on. Its really no contest.

Jordan scored better from damn near everywhere on the floor except the 3 point, was more efficient, was a DPOTY, and was ten times the slasher and finisher that Kobe was.
He was also a much smarter shooter, better at creating space, stronger in the post, and harder to guard.
