My thing with people picking Jay is that he started rapping in ‘86, maybe ever earlier. It took him 10 years to really start getting attention. He really had to sell himself. He had to create a label with Dame & Biggs to get his career going. He definitely had to put in a lot of hard work to make himself a viable artist.

With a thread like this, I’m thinking of a can’t miss talent from the very beginning. Someone so talented, that they were blessed to never have to really grind or convince anyone that they were nice.
