Lyrically Lupe is better than Jay-z, he is Jay-z on steroids as a lyricist...or a better description would be he is the thinking man's Jay-z, but that's another topic

But considering all them things you mentioned, and just raw talent, I gotta give it to Jay-z.

Moreso early Jay-z, circa 96-97, unbelievable skills, every category of rapping was like a 9 or 10.


Nas is my favorite tho, by far, just thought I'd add that, lol. And I considered him for this too.

Bizzy Bone was the most talented overall in Bone imo. As far as the whole package. My vote is going for Pac tho cause I don’t think he getting shown enough love in here.

and this is coming from a Nas Stan (personal GOAT). He had no weakness. Commercial records, for the ladies, street shyt, jiggy shyt. None of it was corny. He was the Lebron of rap.

Some of the nikkas ya'll naming are specialists lyrically...god tier...but are they rated 99 in every statistical category?

I think Pac fits that criteria u named more than any rapper including Biggie. Pac rapped and has classic songs about damn near any subject u can think of and NONE of it sound forced or corny. Biggie’s subject matter pales in comparison.

which is why I believe that as a creative genius he is, and Lu being 2nd to none Lyrically.(Lyricism, creativity, and storytelling he has no equal espesically in regards to those 3 together)

but outside of those 3 fields, his voice is his weakness and i can see why his cadence on certain beats is a turn off. which is why despite how worlds above he is everyone lyrically i dont consider him a flawless MC let alone a 99 in every field. Hell I see Nas, Scarface, etc as better overall complete rappers/MCs than him

bruh i listen to some joints off the album quite often. The only song I might give you off top that I recall what you sayin is "The Emperor's soundtrack" and maybe "the Cool" outside of that.

2 tracks is what you have, but i wouldnt put that as a mark against him for breathe control
