Budden and Banks were nasty with it in their times but they went away from it. Id have to say JR writer was the best at it during his little run from 04-07 but even he has went away from it (something I would never imagine). Fab is the only person that was crazy with it years ago, and still is crazy with it now and It doesnt sound corny

It's an insult imo to even classify what Lu does, or used to do, with words as punchlines, breh. Fahrenheit 1/15 Lu imo is easily the greatest at wordplay/metaphors ever. His rare tracks back when he used to sound like a Jay-Z clone are piff personified.

Re Up Gang was going ham with the punchlines on the WGIFC tapes too.

But when it comes to traditional punchlines (set up then punch, usually no longer than a couple bars) Budden is the best I've seen.
