Curry's unanimous MVP season is better than any season put together by any PG (and for real almost any player in general) in NBA history and his 2015 and 2017 finals stats were better than every PG that's been on a championship team not named Magic Johnson. No other PG besides Magic has more rings or MVPs than him either.

He's already #2 no question, he'll have an argument for #1 if the Warriors continue to live up to expectations. I personally don't think I'd ever put him above Magic; I'm of the mind Magic should've had at least 4 finals MVPs if not 5. Nothing wrong with being the 2nd best ever at your position though :wow:

The skill sets are so different that it's almost impossible to rank them.

With the great shooting guards, you're basically looking at scorers who take on some ballhandling and supplement with defense.

With the great point guards, you got some guys who led the league in scoring and others who scored as an afterthought. Some of the best shooters ever and some who couldn't shoot. Some who are absolutely shutdown defenders and some who are a liability. Some who could hit the boards and some who didn't even try.

I can see arguments for Magic, Curry, Isaiah, Payton, and CP3 all being "the guy you need at the point" depending on the scenario.

zeke's finals vs the blazers were definitely better than steph's 2015 and probably better than his 2017. zeke led his team in scoring, assists, steals, was 2nd on the team in defensive boards, while shooting 54.2 pct from the field and 68.8 pct from 3.

The problem with this is - skill sets are only ONE part of where a player sits in history. You don't just rank them based solely on their respective skillsets. It's also about impact, mentality, role, and longevity. The only thing that's holding Curry back from standing alongside Magic is longevity. Zeke, Payton and CP3 aren't even in the frame.

Why must y'all dudes post box score stats without a drop of context?
