I say Chauncey, I seriously have no clue who the true MVP was on that squad. I seriously would not be mad if any of that starting five was named FMVP :yeshrug:

The only one who's retired and isn't in the Hall of Fame or will be when they're eligible is Cedric Maxwell (I think Chauncey is getting in one day). For the active players, the only one that looks like they won't be in the HOF is Iguodala. So it's between those two. Now, Iggy does have an All Star appearance and Cedric doesn't so Cedric Maxwell it is :manny:

Lots of people saying Iggy as if his defense wasn't elite.

I dunno, I'd literally have to watch the Finals from beginning to end to really tell...but it feels like if you took offense/defense both into account that Billups or Maxwell would be less impressive. People remember the Billups who grew up after that Finals, they forget that he hadn't really peaked yet when he took advantage of that Finals-by-committee performance. I really wanted them to find some way to give the MVP to the entire starting lineup.

It's still Iggy though. He got that Finals MVP near the end of his career and Maxwell did it right when he was in his prime.

I am still happy Iggy won it though because he was an underrated player for a long time in this league and it also pisses off certain board members who felt like Steph Curry should have won it
