Who is worse for the Black community Dr Umar or Tariq?

My immediate response is to say Umar. He has been grifting the black community since 2009. He has flown under the radar for a long time. He has had multiple scams where he collects money for things and they never come to fruition

The ones he targets are the most vulnerable of our community. The elderly and single mothers.

But…. Tariq is a different beast. He also crowdfunds but he does complete the projects. Documentaries. Apps. Museums. Etc. We can’t ignore that his impact on causing a divide between black people is very strong. Also his impact on the most recent election cannot be just written off

And one other big point about Tariq. He is the one responsible for bringing Umar to the masses. Before he featured Umar in his Hidden Color series Umar was scamming on a local level in Philly. He most likely would not have become a national name. Umar definitely stood out in the early Hidden Color documentaries and he used that to his advantage. Tariq has said himself that he regrets propelling Umar to that level

So if Umar opened his school you still would feel same way?

Tariq is a provocateur and paid shill. His rhetoric actually does influence people to the right and helps dangerous people like Trump.

Umar says a lot of real shyt that people need to hear. The problem is he’s a scammer who can talk the talk, but he can’t walk the walk.

Taking money outta single black mothers’ pockets for a nonexistent school, living off your moms in your 50’s, falling behind on child support payments and beefing with your daughter on the internet… none of that shyt is cool.

Tariq on the other hand… he’s the black Ann Coulter. A walking contradiction who comes off as a parody when they spout divisive, hateful and dehumanizing rhetoric.

Tariq actively tries to cause in-fighting in the black community, so I’d have to say he’s infinitely worse.

Umar is a grifter but the people who donate do so of their own free will and know what they’re getting themselves into. Not to mention Umar is actually entertaining and lowkey hilarious

Umar came to my city for a seminar a few years back and I'll say that even though it was some obvious scam shyt, he did make an effort to talk to people in the community and he visited some old plantations and slave cemeteries that were in a small county that I didn't even know about.

Other than Hidden Colors I don't know much about Tariq other than what the Coli posts, I did listen to one of his spaces on Twitter and he was just yelling at people not even having a proper conversation.

I'd probably take Umar over Tariq I guess only because Umar be in the field while Tariq just seems to be about action behind a computer screen.
