Tariq, Because he's really trying to convince people that a racist rapist is good for the black community. Tariq should've just stuck to mack lessons and documentaries which he excelled at, because he is showing his ass when it comes to politics. The man ironically talks out of “both sides” of his mouth, which is fitting. He's clearly an agent, a very cunning and manipulative one, which makes him problematic because he has the charismatic qualities of a cult leader that make him believable, enabling his followers to dayum near worship and find truth in everything he says and does.
Somebody like that is dangerous. Black activists and leaders of the past wouldn't want you to worship them or take everything they say at face value; they'd want you to have your own sense of thought and take the knowledge and opinions they're giving you to come to your own conclusions about things, y'know, be your own person. Tariq's followers don't think for themselves but rather what he tells them, he wants you to see and believe everything from his lens, and that's why he's an issue, not exactly what the Black community needs to be guided by.
If you ever wondered why the feds were on his ass, it's possible because what I'm alluding to is an accurate description of him and his base.
