If they don't call it, David West has to switch on Dwayne Wade, leaving Stephenson to have to recover and decide whether he has to try to chase down Lebron from behind (who is likely running to the basket, or recover on Wade.

David West stays on Lebron and Wade has an easy shot, or an open lane to drive.

Bottom line... if they don't call it, The Heat get a relatively easy bucket

I actually agree with this. The screen definitely impacted the play, the refs really had no choice but to call it. There was an advantaged gained because of the screen and the screen was illegal.
