Miami Bass is definitely one of the precursors for trap ... Miami is always forgotten

It's more than the high hats it's more about these multiple drum patterns.
It's hard to explain...
I'm sure Paul And Juice made one but this isn't a good example...

Correction:
Zip And A Double Cup is like a definitive trap beat...

And I stand corrected the high hat is a part of a trap beat but it's heavy drums, multiple drums dominant more so than high hat...

And trap beats are generally slower tempo...
