I cut up a couple potatoes that are sprouting now in some pots, I'll wait to put them outside until there's no frost. Other than that herbs cherry tomatoes and squash are the best things to grow. Everything else I'll get at the Farmers market.

We have a garden that my wife tends to. She grows cherry tomatoes, different types of hot peppers, okra, and romaine lettuce. The vegetables taste so much better than what we can purchase in the normal grocery stores (especially the cherry tomatoes). Too bad the garden only produces enough to augment a few meals.

We have been discussing purchasing 3 fruit bearing trees to place in our backyard, but have not decided exactly on which ones we desire yet.

Just a small desert botanical garden in my backyard. Agave, cacti, aloe, euphorbias, ornamental grasses, bougainvillea. It's more for decoration than sustenance. They stay green all year round, attract hummingbirds and their drought tolerance allows them to survive the hot summers.
