They're not sticking with one World Title.

They'll bring back the big gold belt and award it to Rollins, to further cement the Triple H analogy.

I think that Rollins will win the title back on Sunday, pinning Reigns in the match. Smackdown will then award Ambrose the 'big, gold belt' on some he was never pinned/ lost the title wave. Thats how the SD title will be introduced back into the fold.

Yeah they should just go ahead make another world title.

Not the big gold belt tho. That title has been devalued to no return. The belt needs to be freshly new.:dame:

Hold a beat the clock challenge for the belt or a battle royal match.:yeshrug:

Looking at the SD roster:
World Title level
-Dean Ambrose (current champ)
-AJ Styles
-John Cena
-Alberto Del Rio
-The Miz (here and there)
-Randy Orton
-Baron Corbin (they are grooming)
-Dolph Ziggler (here and there)
-Bray Wyatt (not quite ready yet)

IC/ Midcard level
-The Miz (current champ)
-Baron Corbin (needs to win this level title first)
-Zach Ryder
-Apollo Crews
-Kane (doesnt need to be anywhere near World title)
-Mojo Rawley
-Kalisto
-Erick Rowan

Tag Teams (Can also be thrown in singles matches)
-American Alpha (Gable, Jordan)
-Usos (Jimmy, Jey)
-The Ascension (Konnor, Victor) (should be back in NXT anyway)
-Breezango (Fandango, Breeze)
-Vaudevillians (Gotch, English)

Women
-Becky Lynch
-Natalya
-Naomi
-Alexa Bliss
-Eva Marie
-Carmella

First of all, you cant have separate Tag and Womens titles with just 5 tag teams and 6 women. Roster is just too thin split up. Will be interesting to see what the E does with this split. These rosters need Joe/Nakamura/Eric Young/Bobby Roode cats pretty quickly

My whole thing is, they need someone credible to hold a new belt and take SD in the future. Cena is the past, and Orton is too.

Reigns, Owens and even Brock(to a degree) are the true FUTURE. One them should be on SD. AJ is too, but it's just him and Dean at the top basically.

While RAW still basically has a log jam at the topl.

it appears based on comments last night that there will remain ONE set of belts....and by the fact that Reigns/Lesnar/Owens etc remained on RAW that fact is even clearer.....so who on SD roster can actually win any current belt?

We know Dean isn't a true champ and only has it because Roman's suspension. Even so, he MIGHT keep the belt this Sunday, but long term he's not the guy....and with only one belt they're not letting AJ have it. Part-time Orton, at this point? Please.... Cena? Hollywood is calling more and more.... Becky? Nah.
American Alpha? Not for at least a year....and def not over Enzo & Cass and current New Day.

Baron Corbin? OK, maybe he'll take the IC belt from Miz fairly soon. But that's not carrying anything.

I don't see any important belts being on Smackdown :manny:

What are you talking about? Nothing about the fate of the belts has been decided on yet, why are you making this thread... for all we know there might be 2 sets of tag, women, and world titles

Smackdown and Raw will have separate world titles. They will introduce the title for the other brand after battleground. On Smackdown you have Cena and Orton, The current champion ambrose and Aj Styles as the top guys. Watch Bray Watt get a push aswell

How on earth is Cena in the "past" category and Brock in the "future" to any degree? John Cena will compete in at least 10x as many matches as Lesnar will from this point on, and they're the same age. Orton is 3 years younger than them both and even if he wrestles a part time schedule it'll be nowhere near as infrequent as Brock's appearances .

If I was to guess, Brock Lesnar wrestles fewer than 20 matches in WWE before he leaves / they don't renew his contract. Cena will wrestle in several hundred more matches.

This isn't as hard as you guys make it.

John Cena is past his prime....this isn't 2011 or 2013. People are ready to move on from Cena being the bell cow of WWE. It's partly why he hasnt been champ in a LONG time. Vince knows it's time to move on and set up future guys like Ambrose, Rollins, REigns and others.

As far as Brock, he's a top draw and is a credible champ because he's a special attraction. And the PED thing just came out, so that's not relevant to the general conversation.

Besides Cena and Orton.

AJ, Ambrose, Del Rio, and Bray are championship material. Miz and Ziggler can be filler challengers. And hopefully by next month Nakamura or Joe or both are added to give a little more depth.

I got this sinking feeling they want Nakamura to hold the fukking NXT belt but you know the Draft wasnt a real shoot or Bryan would of chose him first. He was one of the top reasons wanted to get back to the rimg just in case he got signed.
