For rap I would've chose Drake but Future went on a nice run to close the last 5 or years of the decade.

Plus I hear his music everywhere from streets of Jersey to Seattle.

For R&b I'd go with The Weeknd. Since 2013 breh has been killing it and Trilogy was a scene changer from what yall tell me. I would like to hear what and who his sound influenced.

Pop - Taylor or Bruno :beli:

I would add migos and meek to rap artist that ran the decade. They had hit records, anthems, and features everywhere

Rap- Drake

R&B- Beyonce. Love her or hate her, she pretty much ran last decade specifically with the self titled album and Lemonade.

Pop- Rihanna. Hasn't dropped since 2016, but Loud, Talk That Talk, Unapologetic, and ANTI were huge.

Kanye, Jay-Z, Chief Keef, ASAP Rocky, Drake, J. Cole, Kendrick, Future for different reasons.

the decade....none of the bolded ran the decade. jay's last album that had everyone pay attention was MCHG in 2013...4:44 only his stans ate up and it didn't produce hits, keef wasn't a factor after his first album - he and that chicago drill movement had an impact on others, but he didn't run the decade, rocky quite literally fell off musically, any relevance he still had was hypebeasting and fashion.

Easily Future.

HIs influenced spilled over to the next generation as well

The Yeat's, The Carti's, The Durk's their style can all be traced back to what Future did in the 2010's.

If all the big dog's of the current decade are your sons, then clearly you ran the decade before em. Similar to what Wayne did before Future.

We dont have a whole bunch of mini Kendrick's, Drake's and Cole's running around dominating the game and the sound.
