Who Really Wants To Move to New York?

Weather is not an issue.
It's the rent/cost of living, traffic, bridge/tunnel tolls and parking expenses. I could get an IT job in Manhattan but I would be living like a bum. Eating ramen noodles and playing guitar on the weekends on the street corners to make ends meet.

Part of the problem is you guys only think of Manhattan as NYC. Y'all really want to live there with the homeless right outside your front door?

And lol @ comparing 600 restaurants in some other American city to 6000 in an international city like New York.

Never argued about price. But living in ny eating noodles is preferable to caking in wilmington. Plenty to do without cash, shyt most of the city is broke. As u said, we all got our opinions.

Just like I can't deny that by is pricey, u can't deny that it's far more entertaining/stimulating, what have you, than dc, Philly, Boston, etc. you're talking about a city that has nearly everything in it breh.

That's obvioulsy overkill of someone with the mindset of most of these other posts in here who refuse to live anywhere else but the island of Manhattan. You don't need be 20 minutes away from everything.

As a young black man, I can honestly say New York is the ultimate city. IN THE WORLD.

Only places Ive been that matches that flair is London and ATL

Nah. The only city that matches with NYC is London, Tokyo, and especially Paris. Paris is a city I wouldn't mind living in.

I love New York. But Philly, DC, Chicago & Boston offer alot of the same amenities for cheaper.

especially if you black. DC, Houston, ATL, and even LA has something for ambitious black folk. NY is perfect for the other ethnicity people, or the majority white/ hipster clubs is fine, but for black folk the entertainment is in 2012 thanks to gentrification.

It aint what it used to be. Other cities are catching up fast and showing no signs of slowing down.

Yeah I saw this a while back and just laughed at it. Its amazing what people will do just to live up there.

I don't think I can do it anymore unless I am WELL WELL off, bringing in 250K+ a year.
