that's the point, Dre credits everyone, there's no reason why he would keep Nas as a "ghostwriter" but fully credit EVERYONE else involved in the album. he credits Scott Storch when he played keys, he credited Mel-Man in huge letters on the back of the album and in every song as co-producer of the album. he credits Em, Jay, Royce and others as writing various verses for him throughout the album - there's ABSOLUTELY no reason why Nas would be the only person involved with the album that wasn't credited.

R. Montgomery (Royce Da 5'9") doesn't appear in the credits for "The Message" and he wrote that song. Yes, Dre credited the musicians, but not all of the writers were credited. Not saying that Nas did or didn't write it, but him not appearing in the credits doesn't mean that he didn't.

I don't got the booklet, but he's credited as the sole writer here.

It's not in the booklet. I found a scan of the booklet and it's not there:

XXL is the publication that started the whole "Nas wrote the Watcher" thing.

The subject matter sounds like Nas but hey, who really knows and honestly it's not a big deal. We all know Dre doesn't write his own shyt and never has.

Nas probably had Carmen looking to raise them child support payments and was trying to keep himself off the books. :mjpls:
