Me and my homie still be talking about that "gas chamber" line from my nikka on the corner when they asked what was the solution.
But like someone else said, it was the perfect "warm up" for a show like The Wire, even if it wasn't directly related. It stands on its own 2 though. Damn near a lot more tragic too. At least The Wire showed you how the cycle continues and for the most part, everyone get a taste at some point. The Corner was just harrowing from start to finish.
