this is true, i was kinda like
at first, but after hearing it and getting over krs rocking with his polar opposite i enjoyed it. it wasn't fukking with the o.g. version but it was still dope.it's not that i didn't fukk with puffy's music either, cause i most definitely was. shyt i was rocking "all about the benjamins" when it was just a little mixtape joint with only puff and the lox on a doo wop tape. i just wasn't sure about how it would sound with them making a song together and since krs was all about being "real hip-hop" and it didn't seem like he would ever do a track with someone like puff but it came out aight.
alotta cats were mad though and with good reason cause after that it was full blown jiggy era and every above ground cat with a major deal had their mandatory "shiny suit joint for mainstream dollars" joint on their album...

Actually came on Pandora recently and I was reminded. At that time people definitely bugged on it. Came out good though. I was at a party where KRS performed a couple years ago and Diddy was in the crowd, and KRS pointed him out and then performed it.

Yea we all know OG version is a classic and was superior. But I always felt the remix was dope. Kinda staying on topic, wasn't "I Got Next" KRS's most succesful solo album? (outside the BDP mantra) I think it went Gold nationally and platinum plus worldwide.
