I haven't seen it but I bet they made fun of a nikka with either a speech impediment or they joked about dude not being intelligent.

They always get black comedians to joke about black "celebrities" and paint them as mumble mouth dummies. I guess they can save money on black face paint since they just get a thirsty black comedian to do their bit or them. smh.

Guess I'm not the only one that think Jay Pharoah and Kenan be c00ning it up. That Shannon Sharp shyt was mad corny. SNL been garbage for the past 13 years.

Almost 100% of the time they paint black caricatures as dumb.

Stephen A Smith wasn't painted as such. Neither was David Paterson, Maya Angelou, Oprah, Whoopi, Obama, or Denzel.

Steve Harvey and Shannon Sharpe got painted as mumblemouths because they really do be mangling the language. Just like how Palin and Dubya got the same treatment. This isn't me denying SNL has a race problem; they do in terms of their hiring practices.

While this is true, they portray white politicians and white fmaous people alike as complete nimrods and have for years....it's a fukking comedy show where they do impressions of famous people on the regular, however poorly it's done.

Did you forget Will Ferrell's George Bush impression? Or Tina Fey's Sarah Palin impression? Do they not count because you disliked Bush and Palin?

I would have a different issue if the writers told Jay Pharoah to spoof Shannon, and then told him to slobber more or what have you, but I have no clue how that process works.

Chris Rock said this is one of the reason why he left SNL back in the day. They wanted him to c00n it up.

Nah. He left because he wanted to be on a hipper show (In Living Color) and not a "white" show like SNL. He talked about it on Marc Maron's podcast.

They asked him to play an African tribesman in one skit. The part itself wasn't racist at all, but to have only one person of color on the show playing that role just felt racist to him. Kind of like how Dave Chappelle didn't like the way a white staff member laughed at one of his skit and left the show.

George Bush Sr. being portrayed, Clinton and others weren't made out to be buffoons. While I enjoyed Keenan getting on Steve Harvey, I felt a bit uncomfortable. The end of that skit where they said some redneck was hosting the show seemed to be on some "see...we make fun of white dummies too" as if they knew Keenan was c00ning.

It makes no sense to portray Clinton as dumb, just like it makes no sense to portray Obama as dumb. Hartman and Darrell Hammond both played Clinton as a womanizer and pervert, which is kind of what people think about him.

And what changes about my point?

SMH at making this a racial issue.
SNL skits are caricature of the celebrities they are playing. That's what a comedy skit is.:skip:

This Shannon SHarpe skit isn't funny though.

SNL hasn't been funny in a while. Ever since GW left the office. That was their "go-to" funny skit.
