Christian is 40 years old, oft-injured and doesn't draw. There's no upside to having him in the title picture right now other than the fact that he can work, and we know they don't really care about shyt like that.

....but if you REALLY want to have something interesting happen, how about this guy for a wild card. Have Christian booked to be in the match, get injured by the Wyatts/Shield or whatever on the Smackdown before the PPV, and then as a last minute replacement...

maybe it's just me but having Christian there makes no sense. I don't know what it is with these returning guys being thrown into the main event right away. Christian coming back to be in the chamber, sheamus coming back and gets put in the chamber, batista coming back to headline wrestlemania. I don't care how much he costing them. not like the fans and Pittsburgh did either. they've failed the rest of their roster so much that they have to resort to these over the hill superstars to come back and save them. I also have my doubts about cena being in chamber under possibility he wins and headlines another mania, but not as much. how many in a row would that be? I just got back after he fought miz. I think it should be orton, cena, bryan, punk, reigns, and spot maybe cesaro or langston. but of course that's not possible since punk got fed up and went home. who knows who's gonna be next to do that.

Should have had a Cody/Goldust qualifying match for it which Goldust wins by cheating/holding the tights or whatever, his excuse being it's probably his last chance to compete for the title and he's gonna do whatever it takes to accomplish it, leading to that heel turn and Cody/Goldie at Mania

just saw your post after I posted, yeah you might have a point there. an issue I have, that you might also, in finding worthy chamber contestants is that nobody getting pushed lately. they either involved in some tag team thing or jobbing. I would love to see cesaro or Cody in it, hell even dolph but we know where he at right now, in the low card. if it's not cena or orton, you gotta fend for yourself. they should just do a tag tournament for the number one contender for the belts since they got so many teams. and do something about the us title. don't mind ambrose having it but last match he had felt like it was before noc. they need to push different talent basically.

I wouldn't even say that he'd necessarily be heel if he "turned" to qualify for EC. There'd be rationale for his choice and though it'd be heelish, the crowd could get behind that...but they'd also understand Cody feeling betrayed. They would both be tweeners because they'd both have decent reasoning for their actions. They could beef, get Dusty involved, and squash it like the movie "Warrior" (Cody goes over in an intense, show-stopping, one-up after one-up, emotion-filled match with Goldie applauding him and hugging at the end).

Dusty comes out and hugs them both. All 3 hold hands in the middle of the ring and get their ovation. All 3 walk to the back in a group hug at 'Mania.

Pan to people in the crowd wiping tears out their eyes...

Gonna be honest I don't know why CM Punk was so upset at Batista coming back to get a main event title shot.

Christian showed up last August for like 3 weeks and faced Del Rio for the WHC at Summerslam, the 2nd biggest PPV of the year.

Shows up for one Smackdown and already has a title shot at the next PPV.

Guy must have a deal where he only shows up for title shots lol.
