this is the real answer

yes skip BROUGHT IT UP.... but one thing about skip... he will sit right there and give you stat by stat

and skip didn't put all that extra shyt on it... he said "shooting the last shot.... to win or tie..... lebron wasn't clutch"

he didn't say the whole 4th quarter... he didn't say the whole game.... he didn't say shyt but the last shot.... and the stats STILL prove on go ahead shots, his percentage is garbage

Bron has made enough plays to kill this narrative for good but as a fan I can admit his problem is that crunch time exposes his 2 biggest weaknesses (that he has admitted himself):
1. He's not a knock down jump shooter- self explanatory, his J is on sometimes and off sometimes. 90% of the "clutch gene" is just being a good shooter

2. He tends to over think things: We saw this last night on that ridiculous travel. He drove ready to lay it up, dunk, draw a foul or kick it to an open man but he never really committed to any of the choices so he took 4 steps and missed a wide open layup.

You see, it's garbage, reactionary threads like this that show you kids don't watch basketball. Lebron hit that basket last night to send the game into OT but, outside of that how many memorable "clutch" shots he has. When we think of clutch, we think of Kobe, Jordan, Reggie Miller, Horry and even Bird. Lebron ain't even in that league. Even in todays era, I believe Durant and "FatLazy" are more clutch then his Beta Male ass.
He has plenty but y'all just write it off call it luck or whatever deflection instead of just giving him props

Once again... He's the most criticized athlete of all time. Product of a social media era many players had the benefit of never enduring

No it wasn't. Skip, dan Gilbert, people who compared hi to Jordan and Kobe and his 2011 play really did him in with that perception
The narrative was around since 06 or 07.

He didn't take a lot of long jump shots in crunch time. When he did, he usually missed them. Kobe missed them all the time too but for some reason that was always swept under the rug.

Most of the time, LeBron either drove to the basket for a layup or kicked to an open shooter. Both were ridiculed as being weak and scared even though they were efficient and successful.

He did, when u compare itself to mj and then passed at every opportunity the narratives started to come out hard. Skip Bayless was the guy mainstream doing it too

Lebron brings ALOT of this hate on himself though..
Dude stays doing too much, being passive aggressive with his comments, the way he treats his own damn teammates, even the bullshyt subtweets, pictures in the mirror on social media..
Not to mention that shyt he pulled a few years ago after the dunking competition, getting fans hopes up and nikka never went through with it..
People from jump were crowning him without any achievements..
So yeah that breeds a certain contempt for him because people seeing nothing but coddling and defending him to the ends of the earth by saying stupid shyt like KG and Tim Duncan weren't superstars on this very forum.
I can't lie that shot was piff last night, and I'm the one of the biggest Lequeen haters on this forum..
I know when to give him his props and see through his bullshyt antics and attention whoring( I do the same with Steph, KD and the Warriors)..
If you proclaim you are the best in the league, then face the criticism and shut the haters up by doing work.
The Cavs did that last night especially Uncle Drew...

In other words not enough fade away 20 footers over a triple team.

Game winner over kawai in 2013 but he aint clutch'' :mjlol:

''Bu bu ray allen saved lebron'' Ignoring the fact that lebron scored like 20 straight points in the 4th quarter to bring his team back and made a 3 prior to allen's :mjlol:

''bubu kyrie saved lebron'' Ignoring lebron making prob the best block in finals history and made back to back 3's prior to make it 89-89 :mjlol:
