I haven't been watching battle rap for a long while, and I noticed Dumbfoundead and Conceited using this technique. Pretty clever stuff.
Who started the "Slow it Down" lines? What was the first battle to use them?

Quantam Pimping was the first to use a slow it down, if I remember correctly. His pen game is definitely one of the nicest in battle rap but it's too bad that he's a bit...eccentric, for lack of a better word.

They might've said it but I don't recall from any videos I saw regarding which specific member of SONS created it. But it was definitely the SONS who started it. I can't remember who first used it though. Definitely some old grind time shyt tho.

QP and Daylyt have both claimed to start the slow it down. Conceited claims he was the first to premier the slogan against Rex, but a nikka called Sazoo it before SM1 in 2010

What? SM1 was at Webstar Hall in Aug 2011. This is when Conceited claims he debuted the slogan "slow it down" when he faced Rex, but the battle I posted is from 2010. Sazoo uses the slogan "slow it down i just dissed you" a whole year before Concieted claims he used it.
Oh nevermind, I misunderstood your post. I meant to ask where the hell was the Sazoo vs whoever battle.

It's a SONS creation. QP used the style first in his battle with 2Face in the Jungle in 2010. It was something like
"I'll spray your pregnant baby momma top to bottom till her feet is red.....
I SAID I'll spray your pregnant baby momma till her fetus red"
Con gets credit for creating it though at the Summer Madness battle with T-Rex because he presented it in it's full form and a lot more complex. But QP in 2010 has a few lines using the basic principle. But when Con did it it was cleaner and better presented, which is pretty much the definition of their careers.
But QP, Heartless, and Con are pretty much the blueprint for what people consider wordplay in modern battle rap. QP and Heartless especially, they were years ahead of the curve. Con has always smoothed out their style and dumbed it down a bit and presented it better.
