as far as heavy winter jackets, over here in montreal they've been pretty much replaced by Canada Goose jackets (the bomber jackets)

also i think that before Northface i think Columbia jackets had that spot.

EDIT: bought a Columbia winter jacket for 400$ maybe 10 years ago. i felt dumb as fukk and i swore to myself i wouldn't buy shyt strictly for the brand ever again.
