Well I make a point of supporting my black people whenever I can. I think Charlemagne is a smart guy who created a lane for himself. He is successful and thought provoking at times. Its not a false equivalency. All my nephews listens to is that type of music and I want to introduce him to black men who are successful outside of rap and sports. The book is not out yet so I dont know how we got all these opinions on the content. We so quick so shyt on one another. You dont like the man? You dont want to buy the book? Think its corny? All that is cool. I'm just more inclined to support my people, especially in positives spaces than I am to knock their hustle.

I like Charlemagne as well.

It's not about him being a best selling author. Cudos to him if he is able to achieve that. This writing is flawed from the title alone. "Opportunity comes to those who create it" is bullshyt. What about exposure; that is, being exposed to the things that shape your ideas, the environment from which your thoughts are formed, access to the materials or guides that help create opportunity. And... From the looks of that excerpt, he's still on that gossip shyt. Calling chapters donkey of the day. This shyt won't help many. It's a way for him to make a quick buck. I'm not mad at him for doing so, just annoyed by the thought of him being fake deep while putting on the facade of helping people.
