LEBRON WAS 4 POINTS AWAY FROM BEIN CONSIDERED THE MOST EMBARASSING SUPERSTAR IN NBA HISTORY FOR THIS ENTIRE OFFSEASON .. WHILE WHAT HE DID WAS GREAT, THE LINE BETWEEN BEIN THE BIGGEST CHOKE AND TOP 5 IS NOT THAT THIN... THE PROBLEM HERE IS THAT YOURE A PRISONER OF THE MOMENENT. HE STILL 3/7 WHICH MEAN HE TOOK MORE LOSSES THAN WINS....5/7>3/7. BOTTOM LINE.
Again, rings as 2nd options don't matter as much as first option rings or you'd argue that Pippen is better than Kobe.
Lebron has more championships as the clear cut 1st option, more MVPs, more FMVPs, and better stats.
The reason Lebron's jump is so big is because he's already shown top 5 talent and ability, he just needed more hardware and to showcase his ability in the finals. He's done that and shut up all his haters.
You only look at rings and you ignore context. Personally, if the Heat won a ring in 2011 and Lebron still played like he had, it wouldn't have made him any better in my eyes because he didn't perform like a champion.
He would have gotten carried to that ring by Wade and Bosh so it wouldn't really affect how I view him. How you win those rings and how you perform when you win matters more than just getting the victory.
Just because you think Kobe's 1st ring during the three peat was a better performance than what Lebron did last year against GS doesn't mean i do.
You think Pippen is better than Bird, Magic, Shaq, etc because 6-6 is better than their records but rings as a 2nd option don't impress me.
You keep blindly choosing rings without looking at context and the performance though.
