I think the problem is a lot of people in this thread have never had a steak done...PROPERLY.

They're coming up with all kinds of wild explanations talking about Medium Well steaks being bloody. That's fukking stupid.

If your Medium Well steak is "bloody" you should ask for your money back because it was done improperly, and whoever prepared it for you has you acting a fool on the internet cause you're embarrassed.

I grew up eating well done steaks just like most black folk do, got hipped to to the medium rare game and I ain't looked back since...I've had blue rare on many occasions at home and at sit in joints like Outback, Castaways, Lawry's, Ruth's Chris etc...Let me tell y'all one thing...If you going down from medium to rare, whoever is cooking that damn meat better let that meat REST for a good 5-10 minutes so the rest of the blood can seep out the meat. You eat a medium to rare steak right out the pan and you'll be lucky if you walk away with a churning stomach

While I understand and can appreciate the benefits of a steak that's more rare (taste, texture, juices, etc.) ...I simply don't care. For me, the sight of red meat is extremely off-putting and I'm unable to stomach it.
