I support my favorite artists that I know are in need of my support.

Artists like:
Curren$y
Big Krit
Freddie Gibbs
Nipsey Hussle

I bought GKMC because it was great and I had to support the west.

I like buying albums from my favourite artists, I know they won't be seeing much of the money from each purchase but if i enjoy an artist then I like to see them do well

honestly a lot of the times the albums I buy I never use due to already having a digital version on my phone or ipod

I bought Weeknd's album and It's still in the wrapper

One person saying fukk buying albums doesn't seem a lot but if 100k people say that then it does hurt sales

I like buying albums.

I've got OCD tendnecies so I like collecting shyt and admiring a deep record collection.

I dunno..........it's weird, I find I enjoy music I purchase more than the stuff I d/l. There's something about physically owning an album, looking through the booklet, the sleeve, that makes the music feel more special. Music has kinda become disposable with downloads.

Don't get me wrong, I download like crazy but there's certain artists and albums that I still would rather purchase.

Exactly why I buy albums too :salute:

what happened to supportin artists you like? :heh: and y'all wonder why hip hop sucks nowadays

exactly

 i would rather purchase everything, but shyt is 10 bucks a CD so i've seen myself buying less and less, but i went and got that statik and cole this past week (woulda picked up mac too since he's an independent but i didnt see any)

i prolly got 300 or so CDs :merchant: from collecting the days where shyt would just come out every tuesday and you'd just pick it up

ive seen the number go down every year and my laziness become greater, but one day I hope to have like a 'den' or walk in closet where I can keep all my cds and old shyt so i can go back in and reminisce. or just pick one up load it up and listen to it

i doubt i'm gonna be able to keep up with music coming out this fast beyond my early 20s, eventually most of what i'll have is this music and whatever survives the hard drives or laptops

:smh: i also see myself buying more event albums and less of my favorite albums of the years, i'll go out and pick up cole or kendrick lamar but i'll forget about a michael kiwanuka or grizzly bear at the end of the year

I also do it so that I can reminisce later on down the road. Music encapsulates my memories, and it's nice to listen to a song and remember what I felt and How life was when I first heard it. For example if I put on some old Marvin Gaye ill reminisce about 2009 and what I was going through. I have a bad case of nostalgia.

I haven't purchased CDs in a while but I just went and ordered Kid A by Radiohead and will most likely buy the rest of them since they are cheap on eBay.

I only buy the albums that I want. I usually pick up 2 to 3 albums at a time. But I trip on y'all sucks acting 9.99 for a cd is expensive. Y'all need to get ya money up if that's hurtin ur pockets.

why pay for something given away for free on the internet?

only albums I have are Nas albums. I have a nas collection next to all my books and awards.
:russ:, the only albums i ever buy is Nas albums, i haven't bought a non Nas album in well over 10 years.

i think sometimes we get caught up in thinking that the whole nation is on the net heavy, downloading nikkas albums and all this, ha. nigs be on the net for social networking, thats about it, not everybody is doin all that extra shyt to get an album, they just go pick it up. But even more important than that is PRE-ORDERS!!! pre-orders count towards your chart placement, obviously. nikkas be so excited to have the album that they aint even thinking about it leaking like a week or two before it drops, they pre-order that shyt way in advance.

It's stupid fukks like you that make rap artists go the sellout route and make popppy trash rap. Because you're too much of a cheapskate to support artists you like.

The same artists braggin about that stuff are lying bro, ha, i'd say about 95% of them, they need your 12.99 to keep up the payments on that leased/financed luxury vehicle and to pay that tiny ass mortgage for the big crib in Jersey or ATL.
