It was one of those dominos along with that song with Wila Ford that absolutely derailed his career. His look, singles choices, and business decisions at the onset of his career (even alcoholism aside) were just, all bad.

Yea Royce didn’t have good decisions when he was coming up. Some of those songs he got on those albums sound bad and outdated production wise.

cmon man, you seriously can't be that dense to not know what was meant. :russ: I'm going to give you that much credit if no one else does and assume you're trolling.

Lol I know what it means. I love that song and some played it countless times. I’m just joking about how Royce is a rippity rapping ass nikka.

Not that version…theres just a bridge. You’re thinking of the final / video version. Timestamped:

Thank god I never listened to this one. The other version is what I’m used to listening to.

this blue cantrel ass hook always pissed me off :russ:

Preemo told the story on why they came up with that version, they had that movie with Beyoncé/Mekhi Phifer and Don Ienner/Tony Mottola told Royce they wanted a commercial twist to it so they could put it on the soundtrack.

I don't know how successful Royce would have been back then, but we deserved a Bad Meets Evil album. We deserve one now. :mjcry:

This one of my favorite rap songs ever and I only listened to this version like twice out of the million times I’ve listened to this. Sounds like somebody said “You should do a hook or sumn” and he just went in there and said some ish that he thought we would actually wanna sing along to, 🤮
