Republicans have all the power and have passed or repealed multiple laws. And yet cant concede 1 or 2 things to the Dems? Too much greed.
When people are scared, they'll do anything you tell them.

It's not necessarily to screw Republicans or they would have asked for a laundry list of shyt to open the government back up.
There is a fiscal cliff that is going to hit regular people with Healthcare if subsidies among other things are not restored. People take for granted how much of even regular employer-paid plans are subsidized by the government. You will see hospitals, clinics, non-profits, smaller insurers, etc all close because the healthcare money won't be there. Old folks on the streets because they don't have the funds OR because their nursing home closes because it's not getting Medicaid payments. Democrats are doing the right thing holding out because there are far-out consequences, and there are riot-in-the-street in the next calendar year consequences. Let healthcare subsidies take down peoples ability to live outright and kill other things (all the benefactors of health insurance like specialists, chiropractors, message therapists, etc) and you will have the kinda shyt that takes decades to rebuild, fukk fixing it.

to the people that are saying the HI companies don’t want it either don’t know how economics work. It’s the same with snap. The supermarkets will loose money.. no they are just going to raise the prices and same thing for HI. They are going to raise the price to make up for the people that cancel.

If he wants to win some points he will wait until tomorrow and go back on his word and use the emergency fund that is meant for situations like this.
