Kwame played in the league for over a decade, he was an actual NBA-caliber rotational big, averaged 11 points and 7.5 boards in his best season. I'm a nothing prepares you for the NBA better than the NBA guy, but he was probably better off going to Florida for a year because mentally he wasn't ready. MJ destroyed his confidence too. It doesn't help that despite being huge, he had Bleu DaVinci hands, all in all though he carved a niche for himself and had some redeemable qualities.
Bennett is already out of the league at 24 years old.
I think Bennett's problem is conditioning, weight, and psychological/confidence problems. At UNLV he was giving people Larry Johnson vibes, I liked him, I didn't think he'd go number one but for me he could go in the 5-8 range. A 6'8 guy with a widebase and 7'1 wingspan, to me that meant versatility to play 3-5 that's right there in the Draymond Green and Paul Millsap mold, a pretty explosive athlete in space, good handles, power post game, and he could step out and hit the three. It sounds like the perfect modern day PF. I don't know what the fukk happened but even in Europe, he was trash.
This is him in college versus Allen Crabbe's Cal team, dude wasn't trash.
