I was more a Derrick Brooks guy. That rah rah shyt is cool and all but play on the field DB>

Pretty much they could both cover and seek+destroy, but Brooks was better at the former, Ray the latter.
Really depends what you value for your scheme. As far as chess pieces on the field, you could design zone blitzes where you'd send Ray to blitz and Derrick to drop back more.
Edit: me personally, I'd probably go with Ray Lewis. Missing tackles on 3rd down can really be a an effective way to change momentum.
