Calling suspect on anyone who was a Wu-Head at like 10 years old!?

My answer is Mase at 11 or 12 years old he made it so simple to get the CD player out and stop and rewind each bar till I got his whole raps down. I impressed mad people with spitting Mase's rhymes. When he retired in 1999 (Hasn't been the same spitter since although 'Welcome Back LP' was nice.) It actually broke my heart. Who was the first MC that made you pay attention not just the beats and hooks.

I was on Nas after that fact even though 'If I ruled the world' was everywhere slapping it went over my head and the beat and hook was beautiful. The same with Raekwon and etc Big to somewhat but he always reminded me of a Heavy D who cursed more back in the early days. 2Pac didn't feel like rap to me sometimes it was effortless emotional music over slapping beats and hooks. Mase came out and I was like hold on!! :banderas:

9 years old, Fresh Prince "Nightmare On My Street" 1988. The story telling pulled me in. Freddy was huge around this time so the song was right on time. The flipping of the Nightmare On Elm Street music into a beat. First song that really made me get into Hip Hop. First rap song I ever taped from the radio. First rap song that had me waiting for it on radio. First rap song I memorized. First rap song I kept talking about. First rap song that got me to buy my first rap album which was the classic "He's The DJ I'm The Rapper."

Like as soon as you heard the MC you began to really listen to the bars. The MC that shifted your focus off the beat and hook to what he/she was saying?

I came into Kool G years and years later off a Nas compilation the Fast Life track, where he absolutely toasted Nas off the track. No disrespect intended but 'Yayo like a blizzard' :wow:

This is nice. I remember hearing paramount or warnerbros some studio tried to sue them for copyright infringement and had the nerve to ask them to star in a movie they were making which ended up being House Party. Yeah Fresh Prince I heard his raps through the episodes of FPOBA like 'girls aint nothing but trouble' and etc. He does stand out he had a simple skill with it.

I was 10 in 1997, so I feel like it was a mix of Bone Thugs and Mystikal. I was really impressed at Bone Thugs fast rapping style while still being clear, and Mystikal had one of the most stand out voices and flows Iโ€™ve ever heard, it was just so different from anything else around.

The year, 1996. The song "If I Ruled The World" . Hearing ehat he was rapping about on that song was different from what I was used to hearing especially on the radio. It sounded more like something that I would have read than heard, but it still sounded dope.

Prodigy (RIP)-witnessed the murda muzik and hnic era 12 to 14 (99 to 01). That fall off around and after the hnic is what led Jay to do the Takeover. Jay was most definitely being calculated with the timing because he most definitely wasnt going to drop Takeover in 2000 or 99.

Juvenile was my first favorite rapper but Eminem verse on patiently waiting made me a fan of rhyming.
